Introduction
PLUS is a leading Dutch supermarket chain with over 550 stores, a renewed distribution network, and a service office in Utrecht. They are focused on improving operational efficiency and giving their employees an integrated workplace experience.
Following the successful completion of an earlier collaboration between PLUS and Digital Survival Company, confidence grew for a follow-up project. In this phase, PLUS faced a new challenge: integrating the separate workplaces used by the service office, the stores, and the distribution centres into one unified workplace concept.
About the project
The new workplace concept needed to support digital collaboration in a secure environment, stay modern and up to date, and come with a standard setup. It was also important that the concept delivered cost savings, was easier to manage, and offered automatic updates — boosting operational efficiency. With this goal in mind, PLUS once again called on the expertise of Digital Survival Company.
Digital Survival Company was tasked with building the new digital workplace for PLUS. The solution covered the design and implementation of an integrated digital workplace that meets PLUS's technical, functional, and security requirements. Various systems and processes were brought together into one seamless digital environment for both fixed and mobile devices.
The implementation followed a structured approach, with Digital Survival Company working closely with PLUS to achieve the desired results. The Digital Survival Company team turned the design into a fully operational digital workplace, taking PLUS's Retail Architecture and Security requirements into account.
The new digital workplace has brought PLUS significant benefits, including stronger collaboration and improved communication between departments. It also provides better access to information and applications, strengthened security, and improved operational efficiency thanks to an integrated, streamlined workplace environment.
