Cloud Architecture
A cloud environment is only valuable if it fits how your organisation works, now and five years from now. At Digital Survival Company, we build cloud architecture that is not only technically sound, but also aligned with your processes, your compliance requirements and the way your teams collaborate.

Why Cloud Architecture?
Cloud Architecture is the technical design of a cloud environment: how components are organised, how systems exchange data with each other, how security and governance are safeguarded, and how the environment scales and is managed. It is the translation of a strategic choice into a concrete, actionable design.
Without architecture, a cloud environment often grows step by step, until no one can see how everything fits together anymore. A well-considered design prevents that: it establishes how systems work together, how access is arranged and how the environment can grow, aligned with the applications running on it and tested for suitability for AI applications such as Copilot or Azure OpenAI.
Our Cloud Architecture approach
- 1
Van strategie naar technisch ontwerp
We translate the cloud strategy or Health Scan outcomes into a concrete design, with guiding principles such as cloud-native, secure-by-design and AI-ready as the starting point.
- 2
Landing zone als fundament
We build on our own in-house blueprints for Azure and AWS: an automated base environment with network segmentation, identity management, logging and governance as standard, captured in Infrastructure as Code so the environment deploys predictably and changes can be rolled out without deviations.
- 3
Applicatie- en workload-architectuur
For each application, we determine the most suitable architecture: sometimes containers, sometimes services that scale automatically without managing your own servers (serverless), aligned with requirements for availability, performance, security and cost.
- 4
Netwerk, identity en security
Network segmentation, zero trust access and monitoring via Microsoft Sentinel are an integral part of the design, consistent across the entire environment.
- 5
AI-readiness ingebouwd
We explicitly test the design for AI readiness, so that data classification, access rights and governance are in order before Copilot or Azure OpenAI goes live.
What does Cloud Architecture deliver?
A sound design
A design that is right before the build phase starts, so you don't have to revisit fundamental choices halfway through.
Cloud-native architecture
An architecture designed to be cloud-native, so scalability, resilience and automation are built into the design.
Secure by design
Security and governance that are in order from the start, not as a separate layer added afterwards.
AI-ready
A foundation that is ready for AI applications, with data classification and governance as part of the design.

FAQ
Do we need a cloud strategy first before we can have an architecture designed?
A cloud strategy is a strong foundation, but not always a hard requirement. If the direction is already clear, we can start directly with the architecture. If an overarching plan is missing, we'll flag that and advise determining it first, or we combine both in a single track.
Do you also design for multi-cloud environments?
Yes. We design environments on Azure, on AWS, and in combination. For multi-cloud, we ensure consistent governance, security and monitoring across both platforms, so the complexity remains manageable.
Do you also take over the build and management afterwards?
Yes. After the Design phase, we can guide the Build phase and the Run phase if desired. We can take care of the entire chain, or only carry out the Design phase as input for an internal or external build team.
