Challenge
Within HTM, the understanding grew that data is essential to the further development of the transport company, especially the correlation and analysis of that data. This ambition is reflected in the spearheads “Digital, Data and Analytics”. The strategy called for a scalable, cloud-native data environment that can handle different types of data and easily unlock sources. That data is needed for strategic analysis and for the day-to-day control of trams, light rail vehicles and buses.
A cloud-native data hub
As preferred cloud and data partner, Digital Survival Company built a cloud-based data hub for HTM based on cloud-native Azure data technology. The environment is hosted within the Azure Landing Zone that Digital Survival Company designed and built for HTM.
Digital Survival Company supports HTM with expertise in Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, HDInsight and Power BI, as well as ETL and Jupyter notebooks, among others. Management is handled through managed data services (DevOps) by the multidisciplinary Cloud Platform team.
